BIOGRAPHY OF GIPI
Gian Alfonso Pacinotti (Gipi) was born in Pisa in 1963. In 1994 he began to publish cartoons and short stories in the satirical magazine Cuore. The first comic stories appear in the monthly Blue and then in other Italian newspapers and magazines. He has produced several books for the Coconino Press publishing house: from Exterior Night to Notes for a War Story, awarded as Best Comic of the Year at the Angoulême International Festival in 2006. Among his other works This is the room, the Baci series from the province, S., My life drawn badly, the anthology Diario di fiume and Verticali. Gipi is also an illustrator for the newspaper La Repubblica and collaborates with the International weekly. The Last Terreste is his first film.
