BIOGRAPHY OF BEN CHAPLIN
Ben Chaplin (real name Benedict John Greenwood) was born in London in 1970, the fourth child of an engineer and an acting teacher.
From the very first school plays he shows a predisposition for the work of an actor. He attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London but abandoned it after a year, intolerant of the rules, to start acting in the theater. He immediately adopted his maternal surname, Chaplin, shortening his first name.
