Caitlyn Jenner says it’s easier to hang out trans than Republican

California gubernatorial candidate and Olympic gold medalist Caitlyn Jenner stopped by (or elsewhere) on Fox News this week to file a public complaint. Jenner claims it’s easier to be transgender than to be a Republican.

In a typically odd and curvy interview, Jenner told Fox Across America host Jimmy Failla of her perceived struggles to come out as a celebrity and the backlash she received for advocating for anti-LGBTQ policies. of the GOP.

When asked about NFL player Carl Nassib turning out to be gay, host Failla alleged that support “dried up” for Nassib after he became a Republican. He further alleged that “the left” easily turns against its heroes and that Jenner was also a victim of this effect.

“Yes, I am,” Jenner agreed. “To be honest with you, it was easier to come out as a trans than to come out as a Republican. Isn’t that sad? I think the two should be easy to date a lot. You know, Republicans, they need a lot of help, and to be honest with you, I want to help this process. The perception of what a Republican is needs to change. And it’s sad to see that. I look at it that way, I’m inclusive. So obviously I like that I have no problem with everyone. I want to hear everyone’s opinions. Tell me, I am a smart human being. I have a lot of common sense. I think we lack common sense.

Jenner went on to advocate for the inclusion of transgender women in sporting events, including Laurel Hubbard, the New Zealand weightlifter who is slated to compete in the Olympics later this year.

“You just saw that the first transgender weightlifter is going to compete for New Zealand,” Jenner said. At first I’m going, OK, quite honestly, let’s see how it works. But in the last four years, he’s met all the requirements for hormone levels and everything and became eligible to compete as a trans athlete. And you know what? Its good. Let’s see how it works. But when it breaks down and there are no rules and regulations at the high school level, we have to protect women’s sport. We must protect Title IX. I think it is extremely important. And there are no rules and regulations at this level. Maybe in the future we will do something like this. But for now there isn’t. So let’s protect women’s sport.

For the record, Carl Nassib did not come out as a Republican. Rather, it was revealed that he has been registered as a Republican in two states, Florida and Nevada, since 2019. However, that does not reflect his beliefs on individual issues. It appears he had no party affiliation until 2018.

As for Jenner, the former reality TV star has come under heavy criticism for his candidacy for governor of California in a recall election later this year. Gay rights advocates have attacked Jenner for her often conflicting positions on LGBTQ issues, including transgender rights. Others in the political arena have criticized Jenner for a lack of expertise, especially after a disastrous appearance on the talk show The View.
