BIOGRAPHY OF DAN STEVENS
Daniel Jonathan Stevens, or, as it is known, Dan Stevens, was born in Croydon, just outside London, on 10 October 1982 and was adopted at his birth by a couple of teachers. He grew up in Wales and at school he is a turbulent boy, even if he is of above average intelligence and has excellent results. Despite an adolescence that he himself describes as extremely rebellious against everything and everyone, he wins a scholarship to the Tonbridge School and at age 13 he gets the role of Macbeth in a play. He starts working with the National Youth Theater in London and studies English literature in Cambridge. In 2003 filming his first television role in the miniseries in Slovakia Frankenstein, with William Hurt is Donald Sutherland. After graduation, he stands out in the role of Orlando in the staging of As you like directed by Sir Peter Hall (whose daughter, Rebecca Hall, has the role of Rosalind).
