Born in the London Borough of Islington il January 14, 1967, Emily Watson holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Bristol and studied acting at the London Drama Studio. Subsequently she begins to perform in the theater, while she keeps carrying out the most humble and disparate jobs, but it is in 1996 that luck smiles at her, when she debuts in the cinema with the controversial Lars von Trier, who wants her as the protagonist of The waves of fate, a role with which she was immediately nominated for the Oscars and Golden Globes and which earned her the eighteenth place of the hundred greatest interpretations of all time on Première Magazine. In 1997 she is the wife of Christian Bale in Metroland, set in 1977 London, and the woman loved by Daniel Day-Lewis in The Boxer of Jim Sheridan. After acting next Colin Firth in the spy comedy Kingsman – The Golden Circle, finds the actor in the cast of The Happy Prince – Oscar Wilde’s last portrait (2018), a biopic about the great English writer in which Watson participates along with two other old acquaintances, Everett and Wilkinson.
