BIOGRAPHY OF FABRIZIO BENTIVOGLIO
Fabrizio Bentivoglio is born in Milan on January 4, 1957, where during his high school years he had started playing in the youth team of Inter, which he left following an injury. From that moment on he opted for an acting career, enrolling in acting courses at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan and in the meantime he began to take his first steps in particular with the Shakespearean text “Timone d’Atene”. He enrolled in the faculty of medicine, a study that he would never complete before moving to Rome, where he embarked on the path of cinema and in 1980 he made his debut in The blue-eyed bandit next to Franco Nero. The interpretation of the young Riccardo in this film earned him other first engagements, including The true story of the lady of the camellias (1981), where he shares the set with Gian Maria Volonté, Carla Fracci, Bruno Ganz is Isabelle Huppert.

In the 2000s, however, he also worked with other great directors on the Italian scene, such as Gabriele Muccino in Remember me (2003), Sergio Rubini with Love returns (2004) and The earth (2005) and Paolo Sorrentino with The family friend (2006). This is also the period in which Bentivoglio experiments behind the camera and shoots Forget it, Johnny! (2007), film inspired by the story of the guitarist of Avion Travel, Fausto Mesolella. Subsequently he is the protagonist with Francesca Neri of A boundless youth (2010) and is a former professor struggling with the problems of a young Roman thug in Shawl! (Stay calm) (2011) of Francesco Bruni. In 2014 he was nominated for David and Globo and won a Silver Ribbon for the interpretation of ne Human capital (2014), film by Paolo Virzì which is nominated for an Oscar.
