BIOGRAPHY OF FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE

Florence and the Machine (also known as Florence + the Machine), is the stage name of Florence Leontine Mary Welch (London, 28 August 1986) and a group of artists who collaborate with her to create music for her voice. The style of Florence and the Machine is generally inspired by soul and indie rock. Florence and the Machine have received awards from the media, especially from the BBC who played a very important role in their climb to their success by advertising them as part of the BBC Introducing. This allowed the band to participate in numerous festivals in 2008, including Glastonbury, the Reading and Leeds Festival and T in the Park.
