Grimes admitted that his relationship with Elon Musk bothered his fans.
On Tuesday, May 11, the “Oblivion” singer shared behind-the-scenes photos from Saturday Night Live last weekend, which the Tesla co-founder hosted. She is seen donning her Princess Peach costume from a sketch alongside musical guest Miley Cyrus.
Grimes wrote that she forgot to share the photos as she had been hospitalized with a panic attack the day before. She admitted it was “pretty scary and I guess now is a good time to start therapy.”
“I’m so grateful to the SNL team for being so kind and allowing me to sneak in as Princess Peach and so proud of my beautiful E (who I know is going to upset Grimes fans, I apologize in advance) but he killed him, ”she wrote.

So why aren’t Grimes fans supporting Musk?
During the 2018 cave diving rescue mission to Thailand, he attacked one of the divers on social media after criticizing his idea of a submarine, calling it a “pedo” in since-deleted tweets.
Regarding its business practices, a California judge ruled in 2019 that the CEO of Tesla and other corporate executives at the company attempted to illegally sabotage the employees and their attempt to form a union. Additionally, his company reportedly tried to cover up the company’s unsafe working conditions and left out some of the government’s workplace injuries since 2015.
Musk fought to have his Fremont plant in May 2020 despite quarantine lockdowns to curb the spread of the coronavirus. He won his case and some of his workers tested positive for COVID-19. People have claimed he is risking the health of his employees by ignoring the state’s official mandate and reopening prematurely.
People criticized Musk’s response to the situation because he called the pandemic “stupid” and the lockdown protocols “fascist”. He played down the pandemic and even shared an article that promoted the use of chloroquine as a treatment for COVID, a conspiracy theory that has been discredited by many health officials.
Overall, some fans believe what Musk has done and represents goes against what Grimes apparently believed, as his Twitter bio previously put it “anti-imperialist.”
She responded to the comment regarding her bio statement in 2018 after social media users attacked her on social media for her relationship.
“I can respect a capitalist when he makes fun of creating cheaper and safer public transport, taking space from humans 2, moving the world to clean energy, fighting for Ubi, etc. [with] divergent views on the economy often hang around, ”she tweeted.
She asked her fans to “see me as a human being and[d] not just an extension of another person. “
