BIOGRAPHY OF JEREMY RENNER
The future archer of the Avengers was born in Modesto, a Californian citizen, to teenage parents who separated when he was 8 and both remarried twice, bringing his siblings to 4 (the last born when he was 37). At the Modesto Junior College, after studying psychology and criminology, he attended an acting course and immediately realized that he had found his way. In 1993 he moved to Los Angeles where he worked in the theater, starving, driven by a great passion for which he neglects everything else, starting from private life. In 1995 comes the first film role in Senior Trip – The craziest school in the world. He then collects appearances – usually no more than one – in TV series like Cinderella in New York, Angel is CSI and in 2002 he made himself known – and received an Independent Spirit Award nomination – as the title character of the film Dahmer – The cannibal from Milwaukee, where he interprets the figure of the well-known serial killer with extraordinary effectiveness and in a non-stereotyped way. Between one role and another he maintains himself with various professions, including that of make-up artist. The following year he appears in his first Hollywood film, SWAT, with Samuel L. Jackson is Colin Farrell. He is part of the cast of the controversial film by Asia Argento The heart is deceitful more than anything else, has a key character in North Country with Charlize Theron (2005), is the heroic soldier Doyle in horror 28 weeks later (2007) and is one of the protagonists of the western The murder of Jessie James at the hands of the coward Robert Ford.
But the role that finally promotes him in Serie A, after so many excellent characterizations, he owes it to a woman: for the part of Sergeant William James, expert bomb defuser in the war The Hurt Locker of Katryn Bigelow, in 2010 he obtained his first Oscar nomination for Best Actor, as well as being nominated for numerous other awards including that of the Screen Actors Guild. After 10 episodes of the tv series The Unusuals, repeats its success with The Town of Ben Affleck, for which in 2011 with the role of the robber Jem Coughlin he obtained aanother Oscar nomination, this time as a supporting character, as well as the first at the Golden Globe and the second at the Screen Actors Guild award. In the same year it comes out Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol in which he brings to life the character of Brandt, a new addition to Agent Hunt’s team. In 2012 he played his first cinecomic, the stratospheric success The Avengers, where is Clift Barton alias Hawkeye (Hawkeye), a role that also reprises in the 2015 sequel, Avengers – Age of Ultron. In 2012 it is Aaron Cross in The Bourne Legacy, fourth film – and first without Matt Damon – of the successful franchise. The fun action / horror / fantasy follows in 2013 Hansel & Gretel witch hunters, in which 15 years after the events of the fairy tale he is busy with his sister, played by Gemma Arterton, to rid the world of monstrous creatures. In the same year he is the magician Orlando in Once upon a time in New York of James Gray and unleashes a classy interpretation in the role of the naive Italian-American mayor Carmine Polito in American Hustle of David O. Russell.

(2016), and, as a voice actress, will give the voice to Kaa ne The Jungle Book, live action version of Disney’s animated classic and Illumination Entertainment’s animated musical comedy Sing.
