BIOGRAPHY OF JOSH DUHAMEL
Joshua David (Josh) Duhamel was born in Minot, North Dakota, on November 14, 1972, from a Catholic family and has French-Canadian, Irish, English, German and Norwegian blood in his veins. After the divorce of his parents, he grows up with his mother and three sisters. At university he is quarterback of the football team and is studying to be a dentist (he will take the major in 2005, when already acting). At first, thanks to the statuesque physique (he is 1.92 meters tall) he embarked on a career as a model (winning in 1997 the title of Model of the Year), then begins to “act” as an extra in video by Donna Summer is Christina Aguilera. In 1999 begins his long participation in the long-running soap The valley of the pines, which will conclude in 2011 and for which he wins the Emmy in 2003.
His first performance in the cinema takes place in 2004 in rom-com Dream appointment! In the same year he meets Fergie, the singer of black Eyed Peas, on the set of the TV show Las Vegas (the two get married in 2009 and have a son, Axl Jack, in 2013), where the actor plays Danny McCoy from 2003 to 2008. In 2005 is the protagonist of The Picture of Dorian Gray – The portrait of evil and the following year he is one of the unfortunate horror vacationers Turistas. In 2007 is Captain William Lennox in Transformers (role he reprises in the sequel to the 2009 he was born in 2011). In 2010 is instead the hero of another romantic comedy, set in Rome, The fountain of love and in the same year he plays Three suddenly. In 2013 plays the film by Lasse Hallstrom, based on a bestseller by Nicholas Sparks, Safe Heaven and the thriller with Bruce Willis Fire with Fire. From the 2015 he stars in the role of an FBI agent from the TV series Battle Creek, canceled after only one season. At the cinema he is protagonist in 2014 of Something good, while in the 2016 plays some episodes of the TV series 22.11.63, from the novel by Stephen King. From the 2012 voices Captain Flynn in the animated TV series Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Also interprets This Is Your Death, directed by the actor Giancarlo Esposito, and the sports biopic Spaceman, as well as reprising the role of Captain Lennox in the fifth film in the series Transformers.
