If you are a fan of Justin bieber, you’ve probably heard of Hillsong Church. The Christian mega-church originated in Australia but quickly became popular among the rich and famous in Hollywood. Other notable members include Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Kourtney kardashian, Hailey baldwin, Chris Pratt, Selena Gomez, and Nick jonas. The church is also known for its music and is part of the Pentecostal denomination.

Alternatively, Hillsong has been embroiled in a number of controversies, including his tough stance against gay marriage. The church has been accused of incredible sexist practices and even promotes ideals that include plastic surgery for women in order to make themselves more desirable to men.

There have been multiple accusations of abuse, and pastors have left the church in droves, so why are celebrities still so present in Hillsong?

In 2003, Hillsong co-founder, Bobbie houston, published a controversial audiobook. At first glance, the book appears to be a Christian-friendly, woman-positive relationship book, but it is the opposite of the Houston message.

According to the New York Post, the audiobook recently came under intense scrutiny after the church came under fire for promoting sexist and homophobic beliefs. In the book, Houston uses the r word to describe the physical appearance of women.

“If I’m carrying weight I feel like a **** d,” Houston said. “How are you going to do anything to surprise your man when you need a hydraulic crane just to roll over in your bed?”

She claims that women need to maintain ideal physical shape in order to please and keep a man. She also recommends plastic surgery for those who don’t fit the prototype.

“Do plastic surgery if it makes you feel better and it’s for the right reasons,” Houston continued. “And girls, the pelvic floor exercise – can you believe I’m saying that?” You know i heard that [climax] is not as strong if you are really sloppy at it. ”

Along with pelvic floor exercises and plastic surgery, Houston emphasizes dental work.

“When it comes to personal hygiene and maintenance jobs, for example getting teeth repaired, a mouth is supposed to be very desirable,” she said. “We have to be good at sex ourselves so that if the world comes knocking on the door, we can tell the story of God in our lives.”

For a church whose members are predominantly rich and famous, we can assume that most have the money for dental and surgery, but for the regular member? Not really.

Houston also emphasized a woman’s need to keep looking youthful for as long as possible, regardless of the cost.

“Minimize the negative effects of aging, aging does strange things to us. It discolors your teeth. Things sag with age, ”said Houston. “Back pain. Plumbing bits. OK, fix them, heal or see a doctor, I’m not kidding.

She explained that she and her husband had a great bedroom relationship thanks to this advice, which also allowed their marriage to flourish.

Her husband, Brian houston, has also written a number of books, including one titled You Need More Money. So if we had any questions about how this couple feels about financial hardship, they don’t care. Brian himself is said to have a $ 12 million network, according to the New York Post.

It also promotes the idea that women should be “beautifully available to the army of Jesus” and submit to men.
