BIOGRAPHY OF KATHLEEN FREEMAN
Actress. A hoarse-voiced character active on Broadway, Hollywood and television, Freeman dies of lung cancer just hours after starring in the stage version of ‘The Full Monty’, for which she received a ‘Tony Award’ nomination. A graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles, she began her career in 1952 as a singing teacher in ‘Singin’ in the rain ‘. His other performances include several Jerry Lewis films and ‘The Blues Brothers’ (1980) with John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. In the summer of 2000 she had voiced an old lady in the animated film ‘Shrek’.
