Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert sat down for a live interview with homophobic psychopathic pastor Andrew Wommack this week and it was about as vile and unimaginative as you might expect.
Wommack is the founder / chairman of the Truth & Liberty Coalition, an anti-gay hate group that claims to “educate, unify and mobilize believers in Jesus Christ to influence the reform of nations”.
He opposes anything LGBTQ-related and once in Uganda supported a law imposing the death penalty for what she called “aggravated homosexuality.” He also calls homosexuals “non-normal” and says that transgender equality is “demonic.”
Oh, and he says that anyone who supports trans rights has been brainwashed by “devil’s doctrine,” he thinks “homosexuality is dangerous to your health,” and he believes the bans on conversion therapy are “demonically inspired”.
We could go on, but we think you get it.
Regardless, Boebert took part in this guy’s show to denounce Democrats and promote his 2022 re-election campaign.
Much of the interview was devoted to recounting how badly she thinks the equality law is because it would “fundamentally end girls’ sports in America.”
“We’re not talking about eight-year-old football,” she said. “We are talking about post-puberty sports. We are talking about girls who have worked their whole lives for a scholarship and don’t have to worry about being foiled by a boy.
Boebert also falsely claimed that the bill would lead to “women stepping into an MMA ring and getting their skull crushed by a man”, among other terrible things.
“We need people to call their representatives, call their senators and let them know: don’t pass this!” she said.
Nothing she said, of course, is even remotely true. The Equality Act is simply aimed at making it illegal to discriminate against a person on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity, not to have the ‘skulls’ of women crushed by women. men.
Watch. Or not.
