With Instagram and LinkedIn having recently implemented changes to allow users to declare their pronouns, Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) felt the need to add her opinion on the matter. Last night she tweeted: “My pronoun is ‘Patriot’.”

My pronoun is “Patriot”.

Boebert encouraged people to attend the January 6 demonstration in Washington DC that turned into an assault on the Capitol building, tweeting that same morning “Today is 1776” (a reference to the war of ‘American independence). She criticized the tightening of security on Capitol Hill since the attack.

At the time of writing, Boebert’s pronoun tweet had received over 21,000 likes in less than 12 hours and generated thousands of comments.

A few voiced support for her position, but many more simply laughed at the MP, elected last year, with many pointing out that “Patriot” is a noun, not a pronoun.

It is a noun. You are a dipshit.

It is not a pronoun. You should have graduated from high school, you might have learned that.

Your high school education is “incomplete”.

#LaurenBoebertIsSoDumb she can’t figure out what a pronoun is.

Also, is anyone else annoyed that the word “patriot” has been stolen by a white nationalist and feels they can’t use it anymore? That bothers me.

Grammar is not your thing. Neither governs. You are just a troll.

We know it is not “Christian”.

You misspelled “Whackjob” 😑

– andrea (@ehwhatdoiknow) May 25, 2021

Your pronoun is Karen whether you like it or not.

“Patriot” is a noun, not a pronoun. Supporting those who have tried to overthrow the government is the exact opposite of patriot. He’s a seditionist.

A better “pronoun” for you would be the parrot

This is not the first time that 34-year-old Boebert has addressed issues of interest to the LGBTQ community. In March, Boebert criticized the equality law. Speaking on Steve Bannon’s ‘War Room’ podcast, Boebert, a staunch gun rights activist and right-wing conservative, has targeted legislation being drafted in Congress.

“There is nothing about equality in this law! If anything, it’s, uh, it’s gay, lesbian, and transvestite supremacy. This is what it is about, it is about putting them higher than anyone else! “

Boebert also poked fun at the inclusion of the genre.

To be more inclusive, will Disney change Darth Vader’s iconic line to “Luke, I’m Your Parent”?
