Senator Lindsey Graham has reached new heights – or plunged into new depths, depending on how you look at him – in his adulation for Donald Trump.
Speaking to Sean Hannity last night, Graham was asked how the Republican Party is turning on Liz Cheney for her persistent criticism of the ex-president.
“I would just say, to my fellow Republicans, can we move forward without President Trump? The answer is no, ”the South Carolina senator said. “I’ve always loved Liz Cheney, but she decided the Republican Party couldn’t grow up with President Trump. I have determined that we cannot grow up without him.
Cheney became persona non grata among her Republican cohorts earlier this week when she said the 2020 election was not stolen from Donald Trump and then urged people to stop pushing “THE BIG LIE.”
The 2020 presidential election was not stolen. Anyone who claims this is the case is spreading THE BIG LIE, turning their backs on the rule of law and poisoning our democratic system.

The tweet was followed by an editorial in the Washington Post in which she urged the party to move away from “Trump’s personality cult.”
Speaking to Hannity yesterday, Graham said the party was gaining ground among minorities thanks to Trump’s “economic populism” and “America’s First Agenda.”
“If you don’t understand this, you are making the biggest mistake in the history of the Republican Party,” he said.
The strange irony, of course, is that Graham says the GOP ‘can’t grow’ without Trump when Trump is the reason the GOP lost the White House, Senate, and House of Representatives and why voters are leaving. the party in crowds.
