BIOGRAPHY OF MICHELE RIONDINO

Michele Riondino is born the March 14, 1979 in Taranto, specifically in the Paolo VI district of the city. Charmed by The fleeting moment (1989) by Peter Weir, he founded with some friends “the sect of extinct poets”, with whom he intends to start a band. In 2014 he shares the set with Germano again The fabulous young man, bio-pic about Giacomo Leopardi, in which Riondino plays the poet’s best friend, the writer Antonio Ranieri. In the wake of the revival of the literary film, the actor in 2015 is also in the cast of Wonderful Boccaccio in the role of Guiscardo, character of the third novel narrated in the film. Although the TV gives him great success, it is the cinema that recognizes his skill and it is thus that for his interpretation in The girl of the world (2016) Riondino is nominated for Best Actor for the David di Donatello, for the Golden Globe and for Best Couple together with the co-star Sara Serraiocco to the Ciak d’oro. 2017 sees him engaged in cinema with noir Hawks of Toni D’Angelo, where he treads the scene together with Don Pietro di Gomorrah, Fortunato Cerlino. Two years after the last interpretation on TV, Riondino returns to the small screen with the role of the chief inspector at the mills in the middle of the nineteenth century Giovanni Bovara in The horse’s move (2018), a TV movie based on the novel of the same name by Andrea Camillieri.
