Kellyanne Conway has a new gig, all of you.
Mother of the Year (kidding!) Just signed to become Ohio Senate Senior Hope Advisor Bernie Moreno, who runs through a field crowded with Republicans trying to succeed Sen. Rob’s retirement Portman next year.
Moreno, a former car salesman, is about as Trumpy as they come. According to his campaign website, he wants to “stop socialism, the attacks on our freedom, nullify culture and corruption” and “protect the victories of Donald J. Trump”.

“Donald J. Trump has had the most positive impact of all presidents since Ronald Reagan,” the website states. “He has been attacked more than any other elected official, yet accomplished incredible feats for the American people.”
It’s quite a reversal of what Moreno said in 2016, when he called Trump “crazy” and “maniac” in emails to a GOP fundraising consultant, according to NBC News.
Moreno’s website also says he will “fight like hell” to protect “religious freedom” (read: legalized homophobia) and “restore respect for law and order” (read: the racism and white supremacy).
Today our campaign appointed @KellyannePolls as a Senior Advisor. We are proud to have his support and talent within our team. Kellyanne was a campaign manager during Trump’s 2016 victory and will be a key player in our 2022 victory here in Ohio! https://t.co/x2NjEWmYYw

“Bernie is not a politician,” Conway said in a statement announcing her new role. “He’s a conservative, a political outsider, and a successful businessman, just like President Donald J. Trump.”
“He lived the American dream and wants to protect it for future generations. The people of Ohio need a fighter like Bernie Moreno to speak up and defend them in Washington.

Conway and Moreno both flew to Mar-a-Lago last weekend. Conway met with Trump privately and Moreno attended a conference hosted by the Conservative Partnership Institute, chaired by former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows and former South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint.
She is the second person in Trump’s inner circle to support Moreno. Richard Grenell, Trump’s short-term acting director of national intelligence, is chairman of the national steering committee for the Moreno campaign.
Here’s how people responded to Moreno’s announcement of Conway’s new role in his Twitter campaign …
