Rand Paul once again becomes a queen of total drama

Rand Paul is acting dramatically again.

The Kentucky Anti-Gay Senator just sent a letter to National Security Agency General Paul Nakasone demanding an investigation into the alleged espionage of Fox News resident homophobe Tucker Carlson.

To make a very long and very boring story: Last month Carlson claimed that the NSA was monitoring his texts and emails and plotting to have his show taken off the air after reaching out to Russian President Vladimir Putin for an interview.

Of course, he didn’t actually provide any evidence to support his claims, but the agency still had to release a rare statement denying the claims, stating that the cable news personality “didn’t. never been a target of Agency intelligence, and the NSA never intended to attempt to take its program off the air.

Now Paul is calling for an investigation to find out if the NSA lied about Carlson’s lie and is asking for more details to help get to the bottom of it.

“Mr. Carlson is a journalist,” he wrote in his letter to Nakasone, “and as such he must enjoy the protection of press freedom guaranteed by the First Amendment of the Constitution of the States -United. “

Rand went on to accuse the NSA of “a long train of abuse” and said the agency’s “carefully worded denial” should not be trusted.

“As head of the NSA, you can help restore the credibility of your agency by being completely honest with the American people,” he continued before asking Nakasone to explain “in detail whether the NSA has watched Tucker Carlson “.

But he hadn’t finished yet.

Rand then took to Twitter to accuse the agency of being untrustworthy.

“The NSA has to do more than tweet a carefully worded denial to be trustworthy,” he tweeted earlier today.

Then he took it a step further by having his wife, Kelley, tweet about it as well.

About an hour after her husband’s tweet, she went online to let her 50,000 subscribers know that “watch state” was coming for them.

“Every American who values privacy, due process and liberty should support this,” she wrote. “Eventually, the state of surveillance will come for you.”

Keep in mind that this is all from a man and a woman who twice claimed to have been the victims of failed assassination attempts last year. So everything they say must be taken with a huge grain of salt.

In May, the couple accused contemporary adult 80s singer Richard Marx of sending them a large envelope containing white powder. (A test determined that the substance was not dangerous.)

And last August, they claimed that a “mad mob” of “over 100” attempted to kill them in Washington, DC (video of the incident, however, did not corroborate their story and authorities chose not to pursue an investigation.)

Now the answers …

Claims made without proof may be rejected without proof.

Rand Paul has to do more than a loosely worded tweet to be taken seriously

First, Tucker’s unsubstantiated allegations do not constitute a prima facie case worthy of examination. We do not pursue wild claims. Second, give us a select committee on January 6th and you can have an investigation into Tucker’s crying.

The cajones on you to talk about confidence …

We can’t even get a carefully crafted tweet from you apologizing for January 6th.

So far, he has provided absolutely no evidence

Seems like a weak attempt to distract from his other problems

Must do more is a great summary of your entire career.

Compelling evidence that they cannot be trusted?

Let’s examine why it was perfectly normal for Trump to do the exact same thing to reporters he didn’t like.

Tucker Carlson needs to do more than just say on his TV show that his own employer says no one should take them seriously.

And yet you take it seriously.
