BIOGRAPHY OF ROMAIN DURIS

Born on May 28, 1974 in Paris, Romain Duris initially he studied to become a painter like his ancestor, the Swedish Alexander Roslin, but he was an artist full of interests and soon abandoned his painting studies and became passionate about music, especially the jazz, funk and rap genres. Luck smiles at him when in 1993, walking through the streets of Paris, he is noticed by a casting director who proposes him to Cédric Klapisch for the role of the protagonist Tomasi in Le Péril jeune (1994). This is how Duris finds himself a bit by chance as an actor, playing a rebellious teenager victim of drugs, and from this moment he enters into an artistic partnership with Klapisch.
