Rudy Giuliani broke, fires staff left and right, looking for money

It looks like Rudy Giuliani is broke.

Politico reports that the beleaguered lawyer, who was once a multimillionaire, has been forced to lay off several of his staff, as well as several independent contractors, in a bid to cut costs in the face of rising legal fees.

Giuliani, who used to travel around Manhattan with up to five men yes, also reduced his personal entourage to a single part-time driver, one named Eric Ryan, who is the adult son of his alleged girlfriend.

The news of Giuliani slashing his payroll comes just a day after it was announced he couldn’t pay his legal bills and harassed Donald Trump to dip into his $ 250 million campaign bank account and help it bail out.

Giuliani’s advisers have allegedly reached the point of begging Trump for the $ 200,000 owed to him for his unsuccessful efforts to overturn the 2020 election results. But Trump, being Trump, refuses to cut him off.

The whole thing is, frankly, pathetic, but not the least surprising. Unless, of course, you’re Rudy Giuliani.

To add insult to injury, Politico also notes that the 76-year-old has grown accustomed to living a “high-flying lifestyle,” which includes staying in fancy hotels, drinking expensive wine, from spending time in members-only cigar bars, riding on private jets and collecting expensive fountain pens.

Now he’s going to have to cut it all down too.

As well as being at the center of a DOJ investigation into his potential ties to Ukraine, Giuliani is caught in not one but two libel lawsuits by the voting machine companies Smartmatic and Dominion.

Smartmatic alleges it caused serious harm to the company by claiming it was linked to widespread electoral fraud. Meanwhile, Dominion says he made defamatory statements about the company as he led Trump’s frivolous post-election legal battle and is seeking $ 1.3 billion in damages.

And to top it off, Giuliani has become the laughing stock of Twitter …

He was also looking for spare change and cans of soft drinks to help pay his legal bills.

In recent weeks, Rudy Giuliani has laid off employees and contractors as he faced financial legal issues. I can’t wait for him to be struck off and sent to jail.

Rudy Giuliani is strapped for cash as legal issues escalate. Its staff, full-time drivers, were made redundant. His law firm kicked him out because of his association with Trump. He has no clients now and is paying huge amounts of child support. And Trump never paid it. Poor Rudy. #karma pic.twitter.com/KEk4rNzRqV

Still quite impressed with Rudy Giuliani’s character arc from ‘crowd attorney’ to ‘crowd’

Rudy Giuliani is afraid Donald Trump will not pay his legal fees. “I never thought that would happen to me!” he was heard screaming.
