BIOGRAPHY OF TYRESE GIBSON
Tyrese Darrell Gibson was born in 1978 in the Watts neighborhood, south of Los Angeles. Enter the collective imagination in 1994, in a famous Coca Cola commercial where “Always Coca Cola” sings: he ends up there because he is discovered on a bus. A career as a model begins for him, which he rides to fulfill his true professional dream: to sing, as he has done with conviction since he was fourteen.
At the end of 1998 publishes with great success his first album, Tyrese, for RCA Records. In 2001 follows his second album, 2000 Watts, and in this period it appears for the first time in the cinema, starring in Baby Boy of John Singleton, in the part of an immature young man who earned him a nomination at the Black Reel Awards. It will still be Singleton who will want him back as a partner on the screen of Paul Walker in 2 Fast 2 Furious in 2003, a great springboard for the general public; shortly before it had a huge success with the single How You Gonna Act Like That. The partnership with Singleton will continue with the dramatic Four Brothers (2005), starring with Mark Wahlberg.
Not a year goes by without that Tyrese do not combine his musical career and his film career. One of its most important parts, at least on a purely commercial level, is that of the special agent Robert Epps in Transformers (2007), Transformers – Revenge of the Fallen (2009) and Transformers 3 (2011), all directed by Michael Bay.
His participation in the remake of Death Race (2008), starring Jason Statham, brings it back to the four-wheeled dynamism of the Fast & Furious, when the saga takes on the unanimity that has made it a guarantee for action fans. Still in the role of Roman Pierce he goes wild with Vin Diesel is Paul Walker in Fast & Furious 5 (2011), Fast & Furious 6 (2013) and finally in Fast & Furious 7, arrived in the hall in 2015.
