Bob Dylan is an American folk singer songwriter and is estimated to be worth around $180 million.
Known for his witty lyrics and unrefined voice, Dylan is one of the most prolific singer songwriters of the last century. Having penned and performed such songs as “The Times They are A Changing,” “Blowing in the Wind,” and “Like a Rolling Stone,” it is no surprise that Dylan’s songs became anthems for civil rights and anti-war protest movements. While the Bob Dylan song library is vast, he receives much of his fortune from royalty payments from contemporary musicians performing his songs. Armed with a guitar, a harmonica, and his voice, Dylan’s songs have earned him a number of awards, including Grammy, Golden Globe, and Academy Awards (among others).

Quick Facts
Tragically, Dylan was involved in a motorcycle accident in 1966 that left him severely injured. While the details of the accident remain unknown, Dylan transitioned to a life of recluse for three years following the accident. He returned to the stage in Carnegie Hall to honour the passing of longtime friend Woody Guthrie and remained a music icon through the turn of the century and beyond.
