It looks like Rudy Giuliani is having a bit of a hard time paying his growing legal bills. According to the New York Times, his allies have started harassing Donald Trump to participate and help. But they are not very lucky.
Giuliani’s advisers have allegedly reached the point of begging Trump’s team to dip into his $ 250 million campaign bank account and pay the beleaguered lawyer the $ 200,000 owed to him for his unsuccessful efforts to cancel the results of the 2020 election.
Apparently Giuliani has been trying to get money for some time now, but Trump, being Trump, refused to cut him off.
After federal prosecutors raided his home and office last week as part of an ongoing investigation into his shady relationship with Ukraine, Giuliani increased the pressure on Trump’s camp to pay out the money. silver.
In addition to anything Ukraine-related, Giuliani is also caught in not one but two libel lawsuits by the voting machine companies Smartmatic and Dominion.
Smartmatic alleges it caused serious harm to the company by claiming it was linked to widespread electoral fraud. Meanwhile, Dominion says he made defamatory statements about the company as he fought Trump’s frivolous post-election legal battle.
But the bad news doesn’t end there.
Manhattan prosecutors yesterday asked a federal judge to appoint a “special master” to search the items collected from Giuliani’s home and office last week, a sign that they are really focused on him and want so much. eyes as possible on the evidence.
In a letter, U.S. lawyer Audrey Strauss argued that a special master is needed given the “unusually sensitive privilege issues warrants may involve,” referring to her work as legal counsel to the former President Trump. She also said the appointment would ensure “fairness” to the investigation.
As for Giuliani, he has denied any wrongdoing and claims to have been accused and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Meanwhile, her son Andrew has hit the media circuit to claim that the attacks on his father are led by Joe Biden… Or, uh, maybe the Department of Justice? … Or maybe the media! He doesn’t seem to be able to decide who is behind it all, but he’s absolutely 100% certain that it’s some sort of vendetta against his father, who is totally innocent.
Andrew Giuliani vigorously defends his father, Rudy Giuliani, saying Americans should trust his integrity as “the greatest mayor in New York history”.
