Her cringey comment sparked an even more grinding discussion with The View co-host Joy Behar about the troubling state of the GOP. Behar argued that things didn’t look good when the party vilified Liz Cheney for telling the truth and remained silent about the Matt Gaetz underage sex scandal.

McCain replied that, well, people in his party are privately embarrassed by Gaetz, but not enough to remove him from his post on the House Judiciary Committee.
