BIOGRAPHY OF MICHAEL CAINE
Maurice Joseph Micklewhite was born in 1933 in London, the son of a cook and a fishmonger. After the war, his family is evacuated to a temporary accommodation for the destruction of their previous home: Michael will live there “temporarily” for seventeen years. He began to take an interest in theater at a very young age, but from 1952 to 1954 he was a soldier in the Korean War, an experience that would mark him for life.
