Rihanna makes comparisons with Joey from Friends.
The Fenty Beauty mogul and sometimes pop star (where’s the album, Ri?) Starred in Vogue Italia’s June issue “Rihanna by Rihanna”, for which she photographed and dressed.
On Thursday (June 3), Rihanna shared a photo from the recent high fashion photo apparently showing her wearing three coats and three pairs of layered pants. “Little pressure,” she captioned the image.
Of course, social media quickly ignited, comparing the layered look to a similar hilarious style once worn by Joey, played by Matt LeBlanc, on Friends.
One fan wrote: “The one where Rihanna does Joey wearing all of Chandler’s clothes”. Another added: “I love Rihanna, but it makes me feel like ‘when Joey wore all of Chandler’s clothes’.” Another user joked, “Rihanna is cosplaying Joey.”
Any other hilarious reactions? “Joey Tribbiani ran so Rihanna could walk” and “I’m not even going to ask who wore it best.”
In the Season 3 episode titled “The One Where No One’s Ready,” Chandler, played by Matthew Perry, hides all of Joey’s clothes. In revenge, Joey dons a bunch of Chandler’s clothes, while passing a commando under them.
“Look at me! I’m Chandler! Could I wear any other clothes?” Joey makes fun of his boyfriend.
Much to the delight of longtime fans, LeBlanc actually revisited the fan favorite costume during the recent HBO Max Friends reunion.

This isn’t the first time that a multi-layered haute couture look has been compared to the beloved sitcom character. In 2018, Balenciaga launched a seven-layer jacket that sold for $ 9,000 – and sparked nostalgia for Joey’s mismatched outfit for Chandler.
