DOWN BIOGRAPHY
The Downs are a sludge metal band from New Orleans. The band was born in 1991 and at the beginning it included 5 guys who already played in other bands, more or less famous: Phil Anselmo (vocals, Pantera, Superjoint Ritual), Pepper Keenan (guitar, Corrosion of Conformity), Kirk Windstein (guitar , Crowbar), Rex Brown (bass, Pantera) and Jimmy Bower (drums, Crowbar and guitar, Superjoint Ritual and Eyehategod) .The five had in common a love for Black Sabbath, for doom metal, for hardcore / punk and their city, New Orleans.
