Madonna hosted an event last night in New York City to kick off Pride Weekend. It all started with the posting of a message on her Instagram account, warning fans that she would be showing an exclusive short film she had directed, titled “No Fear, Courage, Resist”, on the Nasdaq jumbotrons in Times Square. at 10 p.m. and midnight. .
She also said she would auction three signed Polaroids to help raise funds for the Ali Forney Center, which supports LGBTQ youth, and the trendy house, Haus of Us, which hosts ballroom events for young minors.
But that was not all. She also showed up to the Boom Boom room at the Standard High Line Hotel for an intimate and exclusive performance for some very lucky fans. And as you can see, almost everyone had pulled out their cell phones to film his appearance, including TV host Andy Cohen, who was among them.

Madonna was predeceased by ballroom dancers on a remix of ‘Vogue’. She then stepped out – dressed in tight-fitting leather shorts, a harness and a fairly sheer sheer top – to sing “Hung Up” as she walked along the top of the bar. She followed that up with a version of “I Don’t Search I Find” from her Madame X album.
Madonna performed two years ago as part of NYC Pride’s 50th anniversary. She also did a surprise New Years Eve performance in 2018 at the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village.
In a separate post posted to her Instagram Stories today, Madonna said, “I am hosting this party because pride is to be celebrated with a community of people who understand and know the meaning of oppression and are fighting for it. freedom !
“2 years ago, Pride Island was magical. Last year we were all isolated, but now is the time to come together to Dance and Celebrate! I can never forget that NYC and the LGBTQ + community gave me life from day one !!!! “

This year’s main New York Pride Parade will be a virtual event, due to the pandemic. However, a handful of smaller events will be taking place in person, including the PrideFest street fair on Sunday June 27 in Greenwich Village.
