FOLKSTONE BIOGRAPHY
Folkstone formed at the beginning of 2004, releasing the first demo “Briganti di Montagna” in 2007. Strengthened by the consensus received, they begin the drafting of the first full-length Folkstone, accompanied by a tour that will also take them abroad. After several line-up changes, Folkstone released their new album Damnati ad Metalla in 2010. 2011 is a very busy year for Folkstone. The drummer Fore and the bassist Ferro leave the band, the latter leaving a message for the fans on the official website of the group, and are replaced respectively by Edoardo Sala and Spugna, who will then be replaced by Federico Maffei. In May the new album Sgangogatt is released, a collection of traditional and original songs in a medieval key. An acoustic version of the song Vortici Scuri (from Damnati to Metalla) is also recorded in the studio, freely downloadable from their web spaces. The DVD of the Feuertanz Festival 2010 in which they participated is also released. In 2012 Folkstone ventured to Sweden for the recording of the new album, Il Confine, which was released on March 16, 2012. The album has the distinction of being co-produced by the fans of the Bergamo group.[2] The group has in fact allowed fans to pre-order the album without having listened to anything of the same, essentially “in a poke”, receiving it in advance of the official release date. Over 400 fans responded to the call, receiving a commemorative t-shirt as a “prize”. The date that opened the new tour was that of March 16 at the “Live Club” in Trezzo sull’Adda.
