BIOGRAPHY OF ZSA ZSA GABOR
Actress. As in the best tradition of Hollywood divas, her date of birth is not certain, some sources cite 1917, others cite ’18 or ’22. Daughter of Jolie Tilleman (also known as Jolie Gabor) and major Vilmos Gabor, she has two sisters: Eve, also an actress, and Magda (the latter married actor George Sanders, former husband of Sza Sza in 1970). She made her debut in show business as a row dancer in Vienna and in 1936 she won the title of Miss Hungary. In the early 1950s she was in Hollywood to interpret Vincente Minnelli and Mrvin Lee Roy’s “Luxury Models” (1952) (the latter wanted her in the cast of the film after seeing her dance at the ‘Mocambo’ nightclub). This is followed by numerous films even if it is often used in secondary roles and above all for its beauty. A glamorous blonde, she owes her popularity more to the sheer number of scandals and romantic relationships – and to the expensive gifts she has been given over the years by husbands and suitors – than to the roles she plays on the big screen. On TV she has participated in a large number of Talk Shows and TV series and occasionally performed on the Broadway stages. Not yet of age, she marries Burhan Belge, a Turkish diplomat from whom she divorces to marry Conrad Hilton (hotel industry tycoon), father of her only daughter, Francesca (also an actress). In 1949 she married the actor George Sanders to whom she remained linked until 1954. During these years she held her relationship with Porfirio Rubirosa, Dominican diplomat and famous playboy. In 1962 she married her fourth husband, Herbert Hunter from whom she divorced in 1966. In 1975 it was the turn of the inventor of the Barbie doll, Jack Ryan, who left in ’76 to marry Michael O’Hara, the lawyer of her divorce case. by Ryan. Before marrying her last husband, Prince Frederick von Anhalt (thanks to which she obtained the title of Princess of Anhalt, Duchess of Saxony) there was the parenthesis of the Mexican playboy Felipe De Alba with whom it seems she was married for a only day. Between marriages, other relationships have been attributed to her, including that with Rafael Trujillo, son of the then dictator of the Dominican Republic, of which Zsa Zsa was often a guest – with her friends Kim Novack and Joan Collins – on the yacht ‘Angelica ‘He has published several books including two autobiographies, “My Story” (1961, written with Gerold Frank) and “One Lifetime Is Not Enough” (1991) and some seduction manuals: “How to Get a Man”, “How to Keep a Man” and “How to Get Rid of a Man”. Known for having repeatedly slapped the cops who had fined her, she also played the same scene in David Zucker’s film “A Blunt Bullet 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear” (1991).
