‘The View’ fills Meghan ‘My Father’ McCain’s seat and not too soon

Meghan McCain officially left The View earlier this month, which means we’ll no longer be subjected to her bad hair and daily reminders that she is, in fact, John McCain’s daughter.

Although, to be fair, there is something slightly hypnotic about seeing all of these back-to-back callbacks:

Given that she recently took to Twitter to call Biden “just as chaotic as Trump,” we won’t miss her expert analysis on the show.

ABC’s daytime panel announced it was taking “a little while” to replace her, and elected to bring in a rotating roster of guest conservative co-hosts to join the panel for the upcoming 25th season.

The show returns to its studio for the first time since March 2020 with a live season premiere on September 7 and has confirmed several of the one-off co-hosts to come.

Former Utah congressman Mia Love (right) will join the premiere, followed by former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, former HP CEO Carly Fiorina, of the former Fox & Friends co-host Gretchen Carlson and SE Cable News regulars Cupp, Eboni K. Williams, Alyssa Farah, Mary Katherine Ham and Cameran Eubanks.

Former panelist Star Jones will also appear in a new segment “Flashback Fridays”. It is not known if other former hosts, including series creator Barbara Walters, will return.
