ABEL FERRARA’S BIOGRAPHY

Film director. Born in the Bronx neighborhood, Ferrara began making amateur Super 8 films well before signing his cinematic debuts with violent films such as ‘Driller Killer’ and ‘Ms. 45’. His other films include ‘Bad Lieutenant’ (1992), ‘Dangerous Game’ (1993) and ‘New Rose Hotel’ (1998). Among other things, he directed some episodes of the TV series ‘Miami Vice’. In 2007 he presented the film ‘Go Go Tales’ out of competition at the 60th Cannes Film Festival, starring, among others, Willem Dafoe, Bob Hoskins and Matthew Modin.
