BIOGRAPHY OF BIAGIO ANTONACCI
Born in Milan on November 9, 1963, but lived in Rozzano on the southern outskirts of the city, although he spends the summers in Grantola; the father is originally from Ruvo di Puglia and the mother from Milan. Already very young he plays the drums in provincial groups, despite the school commitment to get the surveyor’s diploma. In the meantime he works as a carabiniere in Garlasco where he meets Ron’s mother, who advocates her cause and describes her artistic ambitions to her son. Ron recommends it to the leader of the Stadio Gaetano Curreri who makes his debut at the opening of one of his concerts. Produced by Ron, he participated in 1988, among the New Proposals, at the 38th Sanremo Festival with the song I want to live in a moment, without going to the final. He gets his first record deal and in 1989 his first album, Sono cose che capitano, is released. The second album is titled Adagio Biagio (title inspired by an ironic song of the twenties) and comes out two years later. Something starts to move, the radios promote it thanks to some pretty good songs, Dance on my chest and Però I love you, and success is at hand. In the meantime he has a sentimental bond with Marianna Morandi, daughter of Gianni Morandi, with whom he had two children: Paolo and Giovanni.
