Billie Eilish has revealed how she manages to stay confident while playing and how she remembers to accept her body.
In an interview with The Guardian published Saturday, July 31, the “My Future” singer spoke candidly about body image and the impact social media has on her.
“I see people online, like I’ve never watched,” she confessed. “And immediately I’m like, oh my God, what are they like? I know the ins and outs of this industry, and what people are actually using in photos, and I actually know what looks real. may be wrong. Yet I still see it and go, oh my God, it really hurts. “
Despite negative thoughts, she has a positive outlook on body acceptance.
“And I mean, I’m very confident in who I am, and I’m very happy with my life… I’m obviously not happy with my body but who is?” she added.
Although she has regained her confidence, performing in concerts requires a different kind of mindset.
“When I’m on stage, I have to dissociate myself from the ideas I have about my body,” she shared. “Mainly because I wear clothes that are bigger and easier to move around without showing everything – they can be really unflattering. In photos, it looks like I don’t even know what. I separate the two completely. Because I do. have such a terrible relationship with my body, as you wouldn’t believe, so I just have to disassociate myself. “
Eilish noted that when she does a simple run and dons something, she doesn’t know if the paparazzi will be there. A single set of photos can cause a huge amount of online reviews.

Eilish noted that the track “applies to all people who promote unattainable bodily standards.”
