BIOGRAPHY OF BOBBY DARIN
Composer. Sometimes also known as: Robert Darin. Of Italian origin, since childhood he has suffered from heart problems due to frequent rheumatic fevers. Encouraged by his family to follow his passion for music, he became a legend at the age of 25. At the age of 32, he discovers that what he believes to be his sister is his mother. Wins two Grammys and four gold records. In 1960 he made his debut as a composer for a film. On the set he meets Sandra Dee, who is at the peak of success despite being only 16 years old. The two get married and the following year their son Dodd is born. Their marriage lasts until 1968. In the same year, the artist engages in the presidential campaign of Robert Kennedy, but after his assassination, disappointed and disheartened, he retires to private life, selling his properties and living in a motorhome in Big Sur. The following year, he returned to the limelight again, founding his record company Direction Records. He gets married a second time. He died in 1973 after an open heart operation, at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
