Britney Spears reportedly called 9-1-1 the day before her explosive testimony at her guardianship hearing.
On Saturday, July 3, The New Yorker released a report regarding Britney’s legal battle to have her father Jaime Spears removed as financial co-curator.
According to Ventura County law enforcement and someone close to Britney, she called 9-1-1 to “report as a victim of guardianship abuse.” Typically, emergency calls are accessible to the public, however, due to an “ongoing investigation” this call has been sealed.
“The Spears team members started texting each other frantically,” the outlet reported. “They were worried about what Spears might say the next day, and they discussed how to prepare in case she became a thug.”
During the guardianship hearing on June 23, Jamie’s legal team requested that they clear the courtroom and seal the transcripts. The audience was accessible to people all over the world online until they abruptly stopped the live audio stream after it was revealed someone was recording it.
Britney told the judge her father and everyone else involved in her guardianship “shouldn’t get away with it.” She added that they would punish her when she said no to any request and that “they should be in jail”.
