BIOGRAPHY OF DANIEL BARNZ

Film director. Graduated from Yale Univerity, he moved to Los Angeles and for a long time directed the theater company “The Actors Gang” by Tim Robbins. He is then admitted to a master’s degree at the University of Southern California’s Film and Television Faculty. Immediately after graduation he began writing screenplays, both alone and with Ned Zeman, such as “Sugarland” for Jodie Foster, “Sam and George” for Mel Gibson and “Rogue” for Leonardo Di Caprio. In 2008 he made his debut as director of the film “Phoebe in Wonderland”, also participating in the Sundance Film Festival. In 2010 he made “Beastly”, based on the Disney classic “Beauty and the Beast”. Filmaker’s Magazine 2007 included him in the list of 25 emerging independent film directors and in 2008 he was mentioned in the Top Ten of directors to watch.
