BIOGRAPHY OF DANIELE GAGLIANONE
Film director. In 1972, at the age of six, he moved with the Torino family. After graduating in accounting and attempting to start studying computer science, he decides to attend the course of History and Criticism of Cinema held by Gianni Rondolino at the University of Turin, graduating in Modern Literature in 1991. Between 1989 and 2000 he shoots several short fiction films and some documentaries, and collaborates with the National Film Archive of the Resistance, where he experiments various tasks in the cinematographic field, from shooting to editing, from interviews to the collection of video material. In 1998 he collaborated with Gianni Amelio on the screenplay of “So laughed”. Also active for the theater, in 1999 he created with the group ‘IlBuioFuori’ the show “Clinging to a land turned over the abyss”. In 2000 he made his first feature film “Our Years”, presented in Cannes at the Directors’ Fortnight (2001). In 2004 he was present at the Venice Days, during the 61st Venice International Film Festival, with his second film “Not even the destiny”, which earned him, in the same year, also the AIACE Prize
