BIOGRAPHY OF DARREN LYNN BOUSMAN
Film director. He studies film at Full Real World Education University in Orlando, Florida. He graduated in 2001 and immediately flew to Los Angeles to look for work. As his first job he was hired on the set of the film based on the TV series ‘The X-Files’, as an employee of the ‘honey wagon’ (the toilets), however later he was fired because at work he dedicated himself to writing the screenplay for a film that he would like to achieve. Later he proposed that screenplay, ‘The Desperade’, to producers James Wan and Leigh Whannell, who rejected it because it was too similar to their ‘Saw – The Riddler’, a film that would soon be released in theaters (January 2004) . Instead, the same day of the release of ‘Saw’ at the cinema the same producers propose to him to transform that script into the second episode of the horror film. So, in 2005, Bousman adapted it to make the sequel ‘Saw II – The Solution of the Enigma’ with which he made his debut. After this first experience he is also confirmed to direct the third and fourth installments of the saga, released respectively in 2006 and 2007.
