She began her acting career in Russia when she was still a child, in 1989, with the participation in the films “Eto bylo u morya”, by director Ayan Shakhmaliyeva, and, above all, “Stand still, die and resurrect”, by Vitali Kanevski , which won the Camera d’Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1990. The not simple role of Galìa, a child who lives in poverty in desolate Siberia, immediately attracts the attention of the public and critics. Two years later she is also in the sequel entitled “An independent life” – directed by Kanevski himself and which won the Jury Prize at the 45th Cannes Film Festival – albeit in a different role, or as the sister of the character she played in the first. movie. His talent is fully recognized in his homeland, where for some time he continues to work for cinema and TV, but to make his face known outside Russia he decides to move abroad. She then leaves her country to settle in France, precisely in Paris, where she is called to interpret herself in the musical comedy “The Son of Gascogne” (1995, directed by Pascal Aubier). Her willingness to mobility allows her to work in several parts of Europe and not have a fixed place to reside.
