Megan Fox clarifies her comments on Donald Trump following reactions from social media users who believe she supports the former president.
The Transformers actress appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this week. During her interview, she opened up about her night with Machine Gun Kelly at UFC 264, the Conor McGregor-Dustin Poirier fight.
“I was in a row with [Justin] Bieber, and Trump was in my row too. He had about 30 Secret Service with him, “Fox told the late-night host.” He was a legend. This arena was very favorable to Trump when he entered. “
“I was like, I don’t know how I’m feeling about it, because if someone is a target then I’m like, I might get hurt because I’m adjacent to where they are. “, she continued. “So I was worried about my own safety, that’s all I cared about. But yes, I’ve never seen anything like this before. It was crazy.”
On Wednesday July 14, Fox clarified her initial comments about Trump and confirmed that she was not his supporter in a series of Instagram stories.
“I do not align with any political party or individual politician,” she wrote. “I never said Donald Trump was a legend. I said he was a legend… in this arena (key part of the sentence).”
She explained that the arena was filled with UFC fans who were “clearly Republicans due to the crazy reaction from the crowd he received upon entering the T-Mobile hall.”
“It was an observable fact. Not my opinion,” Fox added. “I really like this uneducated, half-evil, pitchfork-burning witch mentality on the stake.”
“The world needs more of this,” she concluded sarcastically, with a string of heart emojis, sparks and kisses.
In a follow-up Instagram story, she posted a meme of a happy SpongeBob SquarePants throwing flowers at an upset Squidward. She captioned the cartoon: “When someone can’t stand me and I send them love and light anyway.”
