Fox News presenter Maria Bartiromo appears to be aiming for Jeanine Pirro’s title as the Network’s resident weekend winner after she goes ballistic Sunday Morning Futures yesterday.
The presenter was in fashion all day on Twitter Sunday after defending her story, psychotically telling critics: “Keep on trashing me, I’ll keep telling the truth!”
It all started when she invited Senator Ron Johnson to be on the show to talk about a number of hot right-wing topics including Hunter Biden’s laptop, COVID-19 lab leak Chinese and the January 6 attack on the United States Capitol.
“The armed insurgency is what Nancy Pelosi continues to call January 6,” Bartiromo mocked. “Senator, how many guns were taken that day, since she says she was armed?” “
To which the Wisconsin anti-Gay senator replied: “I asked the FBI witness. Not one! No weapons have been found either on Capitol Hill or on Capitol grounds according to this FBI witness, so this is just one of the last big lies.
This, of course, is a lie.
Earlier this year, Johnson received a ‘pants on fire’ note from Politifact after he lied and said the attack on the Capitol building was not an armed insurgency:
Police arrested only a fraction of the violent protesters on January 6, but we still know guns and explosives were seized in and around the Capitol. And we know the rioters brought knives, brass knuckles, a stun gun, and other weapons. Equally remarkable, the video clearly shows the crowd using all manner of makeshift weapons to attack police and force entry, including hockey sticks, flag poles, fire extinguishers and a police shield stolen from an officer. .
And a USA Today fact check in March also found that the Justice Department had filed charges against at least three people linked to the insurgency, including one who was allegedly found in possession of a loaded handgun and d ‘an additional charger.
Later in the segment, Bartiromo presented Johnson with a laundry list of what she called “the biggest lies of all” circulating among Democrats. On the list was the attack of January 6 described as an “armed insurrection”.
Bartiromo said she was “incredibly proud” of her team for “telling every story”.
“We’ve been on the safe side for seven years,” she falsely said. “I was ransacked every day along the way. Keep pushing me, I’ll keep telling the truth!
This, of course, is another lie.
Bartiromo is currently fighting a lawsuit brought by voting technology company Smartmatic, in which she accused of causing serious harm to the company by falsely stating that she was involved in widespread voter fraud.
