BIOGRAPHY OF GEORGE EZRA
George Ezra Barnett was born in Bristol on 6 June 1993 and is a British singer-songwriter. Raised in Hertford, he then graduated from the Brighton Institute of Modern Music in Bristol. In November 2011 George Ezra published the songs Angry hill and Broken on YouTube via the Bristol Couch channel. In the summer of 2013 he plays for the BBC introducing stage at the Glastonbury Festival. Got the first airing on Radio 1 of the songs Did you hear the rain? and Budapest in late 2013. Later in September of the same year he released his first EP entitled Did You Hear the Rain? and the video of the homonymous song on VEVO. Ezra opened concerts by various artists such as Lianne La Havas, Tom Odell and Athlete with his guitar. His first EP Did You Hear the Rain debuted in the Italian iTunes charts in ninetieth place, and then climbed up to eleventh position. The EP also came in at number 10 in the UK. The single Budapest, on the other hand, rose to sixth position in Italy and was certified platinum. He pointed to Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie as the main sources of inspiration for his style.
