BIOGRAPHY OF GIANLUIGI CECCARELLI
Director and screenwriter. Graduated in Humanities – Specialization in Performing Arts, “Analog and digital in cinematic storytelling – the cinema that tells stories, from East to West”. He attended numerous training and specialization courses including the RAI Radio and Italian Television ‘Training and Advanced Course for Rai-Script scriptwriters’, the training course “How to produce a short” by the director, producer and screenwriter Maurizio Fiume, the television writing workshop as part of the “Enzimi 2001” review and obtained a Diploma in assistant direction at the Cinema 87 Laboratory in Rome. He is the author (often in collaboration with Manuela Pinetti) and director of several short and feature films, documentaries, videos and commercials: “Saldi nel Vu” by Amedeo Veneruso (2004, screenplay); “Polvere” (2006; producer, director and co-screenwriter) presented, among others, at the Tertio Millennio Film Festival and at the Corto Dorico Film Festival in Ancona; “La città polbata” by Mauro Conciatori and Leonardo Tiberi (2008, assistant director and assistant editor); “Enel An ancient energy” (2008, direction) in competition at the Enel Digital Contest 2008; “Shadow” directed by Marco Zarotti (2009, screenwriter) in competition at the TELECOM ITALIA WIRED web contest; “Bellelli Engineering” (2010, screenplay); “At the school of freedom” (2010, screenplay); “First mission” (2011, direction and screenplay) winner of the first edition of “i-father – Short Film Award” (2010), competition for the realization of five short films inspired by the theme “The priest’s mission, seize the moment” , organized by the Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo in collaboration with the Service for the promotion of economic support to the Catholic Church. He was also assistant to Serbian actor Dragan Marinkovic and director Giancarlo Bocchi during the pre-production of the feature film “Nema Problema” (2004) and author and director of the theatrical comedy “Mio ed Io” staged in 1995 at the DS Izzo theater in Caserta. His other experiences include collaborations in various capacities for reviews and events in the field of cinema and entertainment. He is also a collaborator and, since 2007, curator and manager of the catalog published by ANCCI for the review of Italian cinema organized by Franco Mariotti, freelance collaborator for the paper magazine of cinema “Rivista del Cinematografo”, deputy director of the online periodical of cinema www.zabriskiepoint.net and collaborator for the quarterly magazine FILM, published by the Centro Studi Cinematografici.
