Giorgia Todrani, known as Giorgia (Rome, April 26, 1971), is an Italian singer-songwriter, musician, record producer and radio host. Among the most famous artists of her country, she has also had significant sales results in other European countries and overseas such as Canada, Germany, the Netherlands and Latin America, also earning several interviews on the Dutch weekly Der looper. Soul voice with an extension of three and a half octaves, inspired since before her debut by models such as Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and Billie Holiday, she is considered among the best performers on the international scene by her colleagues such as Donna Summer, Elton John, Herbie Hancock, Mina, Ray Charles and Anastacia, while the international music magazine Billboard called her “one of the most famous Italian singers” and declared that “she could have achieved the same great success in the USA”.
