BIOGRAPHY OF GIOVANNI ALLEVI
Giovanni Allevi graduated in 1990 in piano at the F. Morlacchi conservatory in Perugia with full marks and, in 2001, in composition at the Giuseppe Verdi conservatory in Milan. He graduated in philosophy in 1998 with the thesis “The void in contemporary physics” and attended the International Academy of Higher Perfection in Arezzo, under the guidance of master Carlo Alberto Neri.[3]
In 1991 he fulfilled his compulsory military service in the National Band of the Italian Army. As a solo pianist of the Band he performs George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and Richard Addinsell’s Warsaw Concerto, on tour in many Italian theaters[4].[senza fonte] Allevi begins to present in concert a repertoire including his own compositions for solo piano as well as pieces by Chopin, Bach, Beethoven and Ravel. He attended the courses of “Bio-music and music therapy” of prof. Mario Corradini[3]. In 1996, Allevi musica the tragedy Le Troiane di Euripide, represented at the International Festival of Ancient Drama in Syracuse, winning the special prize for the best stage music. In 1997, he won the international selections for young concert performers at the San Filippo Theater in Turin.
