Britney Spears’ father Jamie Spears has made surprising claims regarding his daughter’s health in new court cases.
On Friday August 6, Jamie’s team filed new court documents in Los Angeles Superior Court. In the notes, Jamie claimed that Britney’s current temporary personal curator, Jodi Montgomery, called her last month to suggest that she be placed in psychiatric custody 5150.
“On July 9, 2021, I received a phone call from Ms. Montgomery,” Jamie wrote in the documents. “During our call, Ms. Montgomery seemed very distraught and expressed how concerned she was about my daughter’s recent behavior and her overall mental health. Ms. Montgomery explained that my daughter was not taking her medication on time or correctly, was not listening to the recommendations of her medical team, and even refused to see some of her doctors.
Jamie added that he was concerned for his daughter and her well-being. Despite Britney’s numerous allegations of abuse of her father, Jamie maintains that he “served conscientiously and faithfully as the keeper of his daughter’s estate without any flaw in his record.”
In a statement to Variety, Jodi’s attorney Laurieann Wright said it was she who had “concerns about Ms Spears’ recent behavior and her overall mental health.” For reasons of confidentiality, she will not discuss Britney’s health, but noted that having her as a trustee “has a serious impact on Ms Spears’ mental health.”
Jodi’s statement added that he had not yet resigned as financial curator, which is why Jodi is his personal curator in the first place.

Jodi concluded her statement by denying that she told Jamie that Britney should be taken into psychiatric custody.
