Kayleigh McEnany is dragged out for swearing on Jesus that she “never lied” as a publicist

Did you hear that? It was the sound of everyone’s eyeballs rolling so far back they fell off their heads after Kayleigh McEnany’s final claims about being an honest and honorable woman.

Speaking at an event hosted by conservative group Turning Point USA, McEnany spoke of her time as Trump’s fourth and final White House press secretary, during which she constantly embarked on nasty verbal quarrels with reporters that often got personal.

“And then there was the question, ‘Will you lie to us someday? “And I said without hesitation, ‘No’, and I never did,” the Harvard law graduate told the crowd.

“As a woman of faith, as a mother to baby Blake, as someone who has meticulously prepared herself in some of the most difficult institutions in the world, I have never lied. I researched my information, but that will never stop the press from calling me a liar.

This, of course, is a lie.

McEnany constantly lied during her tenure as press secretary at the White House.

Like the time she claimed that Robert Mueller’s report on Trump’s ties to Russia ended with “President Trump’s complete and utter exoneration” even though it didn’t.

Or the moment when she promised Trump would unveil his new healthcare proposal in “about two weeks” and never did.

Or this other time, she said Trump “never downplayed the virus” despite the audio recording of him telling reporter Bob Woodward, “I always wanted to downplay it, I still like to downplay it.”

Or that other time she accused Democrats of “welcoming fraud” and “welcoming illegal voting” after the 2020 election without offering any evidence.

Speaking at the Turning Point USA event, McEnany went on to say that she developed an “offensive only” strategy when dealing with reporters because “Republicans always get the headlines. Always get the fake stories. Always get the lies, if I can use that word, told by the press. “

“We have to be offensive,” she told the crowd.

Or they could just, you know, tell the truth.

Here is what the folx say about her “I never lied!” comments on Twitter …

According to Politifact, almost everything McEnany said as a publicist was not true. The fact-checking site rated her statements as “mostly false”, “false” or “pants on fire” 56% of the time. She got “Half True” 14% of the time and “Mostly True” 28% of the time. And she won “True” zero percent of the time.
