Father’s Day: a precious opportunity to express gratitude and love to the fathers in our life. Or, if you’re Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO), another chance to poke fun at trans people and advocates for inclusive language.
Yesterday she tweeted: “Happy Father’s Day to everyone who doesn’t give birth.”
Happy Father’s Day to all those who have not given birth.

The tweet comes just a month after she tweeted that her new “favorite pronoun” was “patriot.”

In February, Boebert also looked into gender inclusion, saying, “To be more inclusive, will Disney change the iconic line from Darth Vader to ‘Luke, I’m your parent’?”
Boebert’s Father’s Day post left some of his supporters confused, but most took it as another attack on those who advocate more inclusive language (although we haven’t heard of anyone pushing to rid the world of the word “father”).

Boebert has often overlooked talking about his own father. For many years, Boebert’s mother claimed that a minor league wrestler was her daughter’s father, but he always denied this. Many could not resist a search at Boebert on this subject.

Boebert wasn’t the only right-wing politician to publish a questionable Father’s Day message.
Former President Donald Trump yesterday released a statement saying, “Happy Father’s Day to all, including the radical left, the RINOs and other losers around the world. Hopefully one day everyone will meet again!
RINO stands for ‘Republicans in name only’.
