BIOGRAPHY OF LUCA BIZZARRI
Luca Bizzarri (Genoa, 13 July 1971) is an Italian actor, comedian and TV presenter, known mainly for the duo Luca and Paolo formed with his friend Paolo Kessisoglu. He began as a theater actor, taking part in 1986 in the Pignasecca and Pignaverde show with the Gilberto Govi dialect theater company. In 1994 he graduated from the acting school of the Teatro Stabile in Genoa. During the course he participates in numerous productions and in the final essay he is the protagonist of Il suicida, directed by Anna Laura Messeri. Subsequently with the Teatro Stabile of Genoa he is the protagonist of some tragedies, including Richard III (directed by Aleksandar Cvjetckovich); Hamlet (directed by Benno Besson) and Ivanov (directed by Marco Sciaccaluga). From 1991 to 1998 he continued to collaborate with some theater companies, highlighting himself in The sea in a funnel (1992) and in the monologue American Psyco (1995). In 1991, during some auditions, he met the Genoese Paolo Kessisoglu, with whom he has formed a close-knit comic couple ever since. With Kessisoglu he participates in the foundation of the cabaret group I cavalli marci, which will be highlighted in the 1997/1998 season in the television program Ciro, the son of Target, conducted by Gaia De Laurentiis. The association with the group lasted until 1998: in that year Bizzarri and Kessisoglu (better known as Luca & Paolo) left the group and participated as a couple in the film And then mambo!, Directed by Lucio Pellegrini, and in 1999 to a new edition of the television variety Ciro. In 2000, the entire team of And then mambo! returns to the cinema with Tandem.
